The multiverse explained
Art
I really looked deep into some of the hardest emotions for a person to show or illustrate to a person the feeling of being alone or the feeling that your breaking down and the true you is disappearing. I chose those emotions because they were something i had to deal with for a while and that helped me really define the sculpture. a piece that really influenced my own was "Embrace" by Gaylord Ho the way he removed a majority of a persons defining features but you could still see the somewhat intimacy between the curves of the person that has been broken down and the other person pulling them in. In my piece you can see that the figure left side is breaking down from the top of the head as the mind is the most important part of a person once it believes something like being lost or alone it starts to effect your everyday life by making you feel sad or slow and becoming more withdrawn. the arm reaching towards the person is supposed to represent the people closest to you wether it be family or friends it's just out of reach meaning that they didn't realize how you felt before it was to late.
English
For english I wrote an artist statement connecting the multiverse to the different areas of my art and the relationship between processes and feeling I hope to invoke in people when they see my art. You can see every emotion as the different variable and the art as the connection between them all. Also the emotions help to define line weights and curves.
History
For history i took a look into the multiverse theory more specifically level one and used it to later explain art how there is an almost infinite works of art more being created everyday but the one variable that changes from piece to piece is the medium used to create it and the artist behind it. This is where i think it can most relate to the multi verse theory as each variable that is different within the "universes" is the medium and artist that used the emotions they were feeling to create the piece. I also went more in depth describing what emotions and messages I thought the piece was trying to show the audience and connecting some of the emotions from my piece to each one.
